Free Pattern - Ruffle Scarf

Ruffle Scarf - Free Pattern

Materials:

M hook
Red-Heart Boutique Sashay Ruffle Yarn
Tapestry Needle

Stitches Used and Special Notes:

SC: Single Crochet
Ch: Chain
You will only be working only in the top row of the ruffle yarn when spread out. (See Pictures at bottom of pattern)

Pattern Instructions (Fuller Scarf):

Chain 5
sc in next chain from hook, sc in each ch to end. Ch 1, turn (4)
sc in same st, and in each stitch across, ch 1 turn (4)
repeat to desired length or until end of skein.

Pattern Instructions (Thinner Scarf):

Chain 4
sc in next ch from hook, sc in next two ch, ch 1, turn (3)
sc in same stitch, and in each stitch across, ch 1 turn (3)
Repeat to desired length or until end of skein.

Last Row and Finishing:
Pull end of top row of yarn all the way through final stitch. Thread through tapestry needle and weave through stitches up a couple rows. Thread starting end through tapestry needle and weave through stitches up until secure. This prevents any falling apart.

Working with Sashay Yarn:

Only pick up the top row or two of the sashay yarn as you work it. I find it is sturdier to work with if you use two thread rows rather than just one.

Picking up the top couple thread rows of the sashay yarn for the final pull through of an SC.

Each scarf uses approximately one full Skein of Red-Heart Sashay yarn.
